Who We Are
At Support Our Military Veterans, we are deeply committed to ensuring our veterans receive the resources and support they need to thrive after their service.

By providing hands-on, practical support to the local ex-military community we can ensure veterans gain access to a wide range of services, support & guidance. Key individuals at SOMV have a military connection or have experience of working with Veterans. This connection is important in that it provides a level of personal understanding of the many issues military veterans face in today’s society, but also a sense of trust and companionship.
The Founder
Neil Fox is an Armed Forces Veteran and a former business professional.

After leaving the Royal Air Force (15 years including TacSF, TSW and SFSG) Neil joined Meggitt PLC as a fuels management specialist, developing hardware and software applications and selling into a cross section of businesses, such as B.P., Elf Oil, B.A.A. and LGA's.​
From there, Neil joined European, Japanese and American multinationals in senior management roles, within the power transmission sector......see more

2007 gave rise to the beginning of new ventures within the engineering solutions sector, including TotalCare Engineering Ltd (Partner / Director), and as a Consultant to UK Industry. Services covered specification, procurement, supply channels and logistics, through to strategic planning and implementation.
Where Support Our Military Veterans Began
In 2014 Neil made the choice to take a new path, moving to the Charity sector, and joined Forces in the Community. As Charity Development Manager he focused on fund raising through multiple revenue streams and helped to secure significant funding growth for the charity. Red Rose Housing (Operations Manager) became the focus in 2016, specialising in supporting both military & local community with accommodation and housing needs. After a health enforced break, Neil decided to pursue further education (Counselling) and supporting UK Armed Forces Veterans charities. Neil is the founder of, and currently Chair of the Board of Trustees at Support Our Military Veterans.
