Reduce Carbon Emissions & Tackle Fuel Poverty – It's Win! Win!
The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) is a government scheme designed to help cut carbon emissions and reduce fuel poverty.
Energy Company Obligation (ECO)
The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) could help you get financial support from your energy supplier to make your home more energy efficient.
The biggest energy suppliers have targets to help households with energy efficiency measures, and the ECO is part of those aims.
To qualify for ECO funding at the moment you must own your home - or have the permission of your landlord.
You might be able to get help for energy-saving improvements to your home if you claim certain benefits and live in private housing (for example you own your home or rent from a private landlord).
You might be eligible for help if you live in private housing and get one of the following benefits:
-
Child Tax Credit
-
Working Tax Credit
-
Universal Credit
-
Pension Guarantee Credit
-
Pension Savings Credit
-
Income Support
-
income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
-
income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
-
Child Benefit
-
Housing Benefit

How to save energy and lower your bills this winter
Since ECO4 was launched in July 2022, we're proud to have helped out over 800 households upgrade their heating and insulation in their properties.
All installations carried out under the ECO Scheme are done by installers who are Trustmark registered (available upon request), and issued with a Trustmark certificate upon completion.
Their are 3 routes to qualify for a free boiler replacement:
-
Someone in your household is in receipt of qualifying benefits
-
If your household earns less than £31,000 gross per year
-
NHS Referral - if you have a qualifying health condition - Cardiovascular, Respiritory, COPD or Limited Mobility and are on a repeat prescription.
